Hawks get defenseman Oduya from Jets, send Scott to Rangers

The Blackhawks have acquired veteran defenseman Johnny Oduya from the Winnipeg Jets for a 2nd,3rd round pick.

Oduya has two goals and 11 assists in 63 games with the Jets this season. The 30-year-old Swedish defenseman is in his seventh year in the NHL and comes to the Blackhawks after three years with the with the Jets/Thrashers franchise.He is a minus 9. The defenseman is an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.

In a separate deal, the Blackhawks also sent defenseman John Scott to the Rangers for a fifth-round pick for Scott
